Wood pellets are a biomass material, which means that they are products of commonly grown plants and trees.  Residential  pellets are often made from the sawdust left behind by the  lumber and furniture industries. Pellets are held together by resins and binders that are naturally occurring in the sawdust which allows them to be made with no additives. Pellet manufacturing keeps millions of cubic yards of sawdust waste material from heading to landfills.

Sale of wood pellets is skyrocketing as more consumers,  concerned about the environment and no longer willing to accept the high cost of oil, turn to clean, natural ways to heat their home. Pellets are convenient and store easily.  A ton of pellets can be stacked in an area as small as four feet wide, long and high which is half the space needed for a cord of wood.

New England Wood Pellets

New England Wood Pellets are made from 100% recycled wood. We use various forms of wood waste, nearly all of which is hardwood. In our manufacturing process, the wood waste (raw material) is screened, dried to a specific moisture level, and ground to a uniform size. Then, the perfect blend of sawdust is conveyed into the pellet mills where it is compressed and formed into a very dense and consistent wood pellet...ready for the consumer.

Eastern Embers 

Eastern Embers pellets are manufactured primarily from spruce sawdust and are sourced from four large sawmills within a 30 mile radius of our operation. These low ash, high BTU pellets burn hot and clean. 

Nova Scotia spruce is inherently clean, with ash levels under 0.3%. Contamination-free handling and a two level quality control program ensure that subsequent ash levels are minimized.

The Eastern Embers plant capacity is currently 45,000 tons per year, easily expandable to meet increased demand if required.

Eastern Embers Premium Wood Pellet Fuel adheres to the premium grade standards set by the Pellet Fuel Institute.  Using a lower grade fuel will be detrimental to the performance of your pellet stove and can cause problems such as inconsistent heat, high residual ash, clogging of the auger, creosote and rusting.

Princeton Co-Generation Corporation manufactures Eagle Valley Premium Wood Pellets which are an alternative fuel source to traditional wood, electric, oil and natural gas heating fuels. Environmentally friendly, Eagle Valley Premium Wood Pellets are not a fossil fuel, but are made from 100% waste wood and do not produce greenhouse gases when burned. Having secured a long-term supply contract for raw material, PCC is setting the standards for pellet consistency, quality and service.

Narragansett brand premium pellets are manufactured from a clean, dry blend of hardwood and softwood raw materials. Manufactured at a state-of-the-art processing plant in Rhode Island, these pellets have a BTU rating of 8105 Btu/Lb and 0.80% ash.
