BioLogs/BioBricks For Wood Burning
|
Make A TeePee over
newspaper to start

|
-
100% Wood, No
Artificial Binders
-
Far Less Smoke and
Creosol Than Cordwood
-
High Energy Density
-
Burns 2 to 3 Times
Longer Than Cordwood
|
Instructions on use:
Use newspaper and four BioBricks as shown in photo.
Establish a strong coal bed with these four Bricks.
For stoves with rear combustion chamber, push coals against mouth of
chamber - leave 1/3 of mouth open.
For stoves with air tubes leave 4 inch clearance between BioBricks and
Tubes.
Lay BioBricks flat and orderly over coal bed and across bottom of stove -
build layers. Do not overfill. Control air flow to get desired
temperature.
Caution: As with any dry wood, good stove seals and good air control
are important to extending burn times and controlling stove temperature.
An overloaded stove with leaky seals can lead to dangerous overheating. |
|
Use only in a well
maintained stove or fireplace and do not overfill.
Keep Product Dry.

| One
ton of BioBricks on a pallet delivers the
same heat as 1.5 cords of wood. That's one 4'x4'x5' pallet of BioBricks
replacing a 4'x4'x12' stack of cordwood. Like Wood Pellets, BioBricks
are cheaper than fuel oil, less polluting and greenhouse gas
neutral, recycling the C02 that the tree absorbed in its life.
Did
you know that a typical New England house burning fuel oil generates 5
tons of new green house gas per year.
BioBricks produce 2/3 the particulates
(smoke) compared with good cordwood.
Less polluting - burning Biomass recycles carbon in the atmosphere. Oil,
gas and coal pull it from the ground (where it has been for millions of years) and put
it in the air - an average house creates 5 tons of new carbon per year burning fuel oil.
Easy lighting - only needs newspaper
BioBricks are 100% wood with very little ash
(typically below 1%) and low moisture content -> less than half the moisture content of cordwood -> much
more heat makes it into your house instead of turning into steam.
Twice the density of cordwood – about the same energy density as coal -
extending burn-times by more than 2.5x
Consistent size means more of the fuel gets air and gets burned
No sparks, pops and very low smoke
40 lb. packs at an economical price - cheaper than oil and much less
mess and hassle than cordwood
